The annual Fall juried show at the Black Mountain Center for the Arts, 225 W. State St., is open until December 3. Hours are Monday-Friday 10-5:00, Saturday 1-4:00.

Awards were announced as follows: Overall First Place went to Kay Gordon for her pastel "Remembering the Ballads".

The People's choice also went to Gordon for her pastel "From the Shore".

Best in Show was awarded to Susan Taylor for the oil "Delight in Sun".

First Places in the categories were given to Charles Smith for a watercolor "Flowers will bloom again", to Jamie Stewart for the oil "Still Life with Flowers and Orange", Jeanene Stone, photography, for "The Craggies", the pastel category was won by Karen Chambers, and the sculpture "Cow", a welded piece was awarded to Dave Taylor.
